How It Started
Dammy’s Kitchen UK was born out of pure desperation, determination, and a deep desire to make life easier for busy families and professionals across the UK.
When I first moved to the UK, the minus 3° cold hit me like a shock. I had a one-year-old and a three-year-old at home who wouldn’t start school until age four. I was homesick, overwhelmed with culture shock, and simply trying to adjust to a new country and a new life. All I truly wanted was a proper Nigerian meal — something convenient, premium quality and delicious without having to spend hours in the kitchen cooking and cleaning.
So, I ordered food.
The first order was disappointing. The second was even worse.
My husband told me to give up and just cook since I was a great cook anyway, but deep down I knew I wasn’t the only one struggling. There were countless people like me — busy mums, busy professionals, families — all looking for good quality, authentic Nigerian meals delivered with convenience.
That day, I made up my mind to solve the problem.
I enrolled in professional culinary courses, earned every required certification, and built a fully certified food business right here in the UK.
What started in Preston in 2020 as a simple desire to take away food shopping stress and cooking hassle has grown into a brand trusted by thousands of clients across the UK.
From sourcing the freshest authentic ingredients from Nigeria, to cooking premium-quality meals in our 5-star hygiene-rated kitchen, to delivering them to doorsteps nationwide — our mission has always been the same:
